The Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is located 21 km north of the Chongqing city centre and is an important gateway for destinations in southwestern China and a major hub for China Express Airlines, China Southern and others.
With well over 25 million passengers the Jiangbei Airport is the ninth busiest in China. The airport has two terminals, an international one (Terminal 1) and a domestic one (Terminal 2).
The airport is mostly used for domestic flights but recently many international destinations were added as well, most of them in the Asian region. Currently well over 40 airlines fly to Chongqing.

There are only a few destinations that you can reach from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, most of these are operated by XiamenAir. Many people take a flight to Bangkok and transfer to another flight there.
